Chocolate Coconut Peppermint Dessert Smoothie
Ingredients (1–2 servings):
- 1 frozen banana (for creaminess)
- 1/2 cup full-fat coconut milk (or light, if preferred)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of choice)
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon shredded coconut (plus extra for garnish)
- 1–2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract (start with less; it’s potent!)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1/2 cup ice (optional, for thicker texture)
Optional add-ins:
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (for a boost)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseed (for fiber)
- Dark chocolate chips or cacao nibs (for a crunchy blend-in or topping)
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender.
- Blend until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust sweetness or peppermint to your liking.
- Pour into a glass and top with shredded coconut, a drizzle of chocolate syrup, or crushed peppermint candies for flair.
Serving Tip:
Chill your glass beforehand and rim it with melted dark chocolate + coconut flakes for a dessert-like presentation.
